Wet brush are the best brushes out there

Do they tend to pull hair out? Are they gentle on the scalp?

Mostly gentle, if hair is moderate to severe tangled it will pull!

Thinking about getting some for someone (has some very short, peach fuzz growing) starting another round of chemo and another someone (manage to keep a little hair so far) at the tail end of chemo/radiation. We want something gently to use on their heads. We were using shampoo/wet brushes (not the same as this one), but we are looking for something gentler and easy to hold.

Don’t think there is much too tangle, so maybe this will work.

@gmcguire I have had this brush for over a year now. I have long (waist length) fine hair. I also have a sensitive scalp. I’m going to buy 2 more of these brushes.

Longer version:

I do experience a little breakage with this, but not a lot (as long as you are gentle with your hair and don’t just forcefully drag the brush through knots and snags). It does build up with hair that has to be cleaned out occasionally, but I’ve never seen a brush that didn’t. It doesn’t build up as quickly other brushes I’ve owned.
The long bristles are medium to fine. The shorter bristles are (supposedly) boar’s hair. Those are pretty standard. The brush itself has a little heft to it. It’s not like the cheap ones you’d find at a big store that sells everything and starts with “W”. It gives you a little something to grab on to.
As far as the “ThermaGraphene infused” business, I can’t comment. I rarely blow dry my hair.

Hope this helps!

Yes, it does!:hugs:

We are probably going to give it a try. We were reading the recent reviews. Most of them were having issues with the bristles falling out.

We do not expect these to last forever, but we are hoping they will last for the duration of time it takes for hair to grow out. The nurse navigators think it might take anywhere from a year to 18 months after the last date of treatment for the hair and skin to “return” to normal. So we are hoping these will last at least 18 months with a little use.:hugs::+1:

As I had mentioned, I’ve had the brush over a year. 2 bristles have fallen out in that time. While the brush normally lives in/near my bathroom, it’s gone on a cruise and a few trips across country in both car and plane. Each trip it’s been packed in luggage.
I’d say 2 bristles over that time and treatment is pretty good.

Have a Wet Brush that has been going strong for years. Some of the bristles have fallen out, but still works!

The kids at the orphanage love these! The staff likes to have each child their very own brush!

I use this on an 8 year old with waist length, curly hair. It’s the only thing that gets through her hair without complaints.

I have baby fine hair & always have. I use a simple wide-toothed comb.

TL;DR Great for thick, curly hair. Mine is baby fine & straight so I use a wide-tooth comb.
