Unfortunately, Vicks took the good stuff out of the inhalers, now they’re “non-medicated” and don’t work the same, in my opinion.

All it is is camphor, eucalyptus and menthol. The rub is just petroleum jelly (Vaseline) with these ingredients. Not sue what the "medication " is.

These smell horrible. I noticed the Vicks from the UK have the scent I know from when I was a child.

This article mentions decongestant tabs, which are proven to be non effective.
I have always used Vick’s under my nose.

These are clearly made in India. We would buy them when we travel every year on our trip to India. They are much cheaper in India than one would buy it here- be it Costco or sams club.

Right, but the Vicks inhalers used to include a tiny amount of something called levomethamphetamine which worked as a decongestant, but they discontinued it, I think because it’s basically a form of meth and they ran into too many regulatory problems or something. You can still get inhalers with levomethamphetamine at Walgreens.

Anyway, I just paused to google Vicks inhalers with levomethamphetamine and it seems like maybe they didn’t disappear completely, but I couldn’t find anywhere to buy Vicks brand.

In any case, the point is that it used to be if you bought a Vicks inhaler it had levomethamphetamine, now it seems like most of them are labeled “non-medicated” and don’t have that ingredient.
