I was ready to jump on this for the faculty room, but then read the reviews. These are just loose pods thrown into a box. Some people reported the pods were damaged and dented. Actual retail pods are shipped in boxes with little indents to protect them. In addition, there’s no best by date printed on individual pods that I can see. The listing may say it’s best by 10/30, but we have no way of knowing. Plus, the best by date is only a month away which means these are already on the older side. Not saying they will have “gone bad”, but coffee really does taste better the fresher it is. When I saw the term “starter pack” I figured it was package direct from Nespresso that would be shipped out with a new brewing machine. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case. It’s probably a company that has bought these cheap in bulk and repackaging them.
PS: Looking at the Amazon page from which the reviews are taken, these are coming from Freshwater Trading which only has an 80% satisfaction rating. Reading through the reviews (linked below) there seem to be a pattern of people receiving products past the best by date.

I bought 4 boxes. Can you guarantee these will not be damaged or loose in a box vs packaged like in the pic?
That’s the photo the vendor sent us. I won’t be there watching them packaged them so no, I can’t guarantee anything about them. Can’t guarantee that Hulk won’t drop out of the sky and smash your box as it’s being delivered to your doorstep either.
