OK, so, apparently Woot doesn’t remember your account is tied to a Prime membership, so you have to connect to your Amazon account each time? Is this part of the third-party cookies thing? I’m not allowing 3rd party cookies for every site on the internet just to be able to get free shipping from one site.
I tried making an exception for woot.com and amazon.com in cookie settings, but that didn’t work. Which third-party cookies, specifically, do I need to allow?
It is kinda jacked up. I can log in using my normal log in, or click on the Amazon login and log in with my OTHER log in. Never got it linked so if I really want to buy something, I’ll just log in using the amazon link.
Now, about these sleeping bags. I got a couple of these and put them in my kids cars but paid under 20 (free shipping). They all claim to be water proof.Anything is waterproof if you don’t get it wet LOL. So, though water does run off a little, they will soak up water if touching it for long. They are just to supplement being stuck in the car during winter or as a summer bag. But by the time you pay tax/shipping, these blankets are a much better deal and they are VERY VERY water resistant (and they roll up smaller too).

I also recommend these blankets for instances where you sometimes need it but mostly you keep it compressed in a small bag. Keeping sleeping bags compressed all the time will actually ruin the insulation factor of the bag.
I haven’t seen anyone actually talking about using these as a normal sleeping bag yet. It appears they’re not mummy bags, so I wouldn’t really consider using one for winter camping, but they seem like great bags for anyone doing any type of camping where it doesn’t drop to sub-freezing in the night for that price-point. Especially if the shipping is free (it is with Prime).
I’m going to throw some serious shade on these being rated anywhere near 20 degrees. There is not even a listing for how much what type of fill is used. Maybe as a light summer bag this would work, but 20 degrees? Come on…
Sorry… Thought I covered that above. (oops, see my post as TC1USCG). But these are not something I’d send off to summer camp for boy scouts. They just won’t hold up. They are ok SUMMER bags or “cool” evening type bags but for backpacking, sleeping on the ground, just buy a military surplus mummy bag or better yet, just dish out the 100 to 200 bucks for the military modular system which is good from the tropics down to minus 40 (and the bivey IS GORTEX=WATERPROOF). I have two of these systems and they are battle tested and work. During the cool and summer times, I would just use the patrol bag and gortex cover. Plenty warm. You can buy the parts or the whole system, but if you are SERIOUS about wanting a bag system that is 4 seasons, will last and give you long term use, you can’t beat the price. Just shop around on ebay or some of the military surplus stores. I’ve been in zero degre weather, out in tents for the weekend. They are solid.
Todays offering though, not what I would call outdoor bags. The ones I got were for emergency bags for teen’s, where they might have to inflate their klymit sleeping pad and roll out this bag to sleep in the hallway. Or, if they were in their car, they had something to HELP stay warm. It’s very THIN and light. One could use it inside a bigger bag for added warmth. But if you know how thick a military poncho liner is, and even with it folded, that’s about how thick these are. If you need something below 40, keep looking.
