Can you install this without the disk? I imagine there is an activation code within the box? I no longer have a disc drive.
Since Windows 10 runs very well, even going back to 2nd gen i5 CPU’s and many folks still happily run pre-6th gen i5 PCs, note the system requirements of Photoshop Elements 2022: (no Windows 7 support)
- Intel 6th Generation or newer processor or AMD equivalent with SSE4.1 support
- Microsoft Windows 11 (version 21H2); Microsoft Windows 10 version 2004 or later (version 21H1 recommended); 64-bit versions only; Windows 7, Windows 8.1 not supported
Impossible to find 2022 system requirements at oddball developer Adobe, so here they are from Microsoft:

Wondering the same. I have the trial installed on my computer now. I don’t have a disc drive on my computer and was hoping that by purchasing this I could just enter the code and continue on . But, I can’t find any information supporting that…
Compare the features between the latest 2023 vs 2020, 2021, and 2022 here… the lack of prior versions in the matrix makes one wonder whether you can directly upgrade from prior versions. A la Intuit Quicken upgrade hell.
Don’t quote me on this, but I think you’d have to download the installer from the adobe website and then use the serial number that comes with the box.
Is this only for a one-year subscription, or does it work forever until your Windows version no longer works with it?
You’re buying the actual software, not a subscription.
Watching the video above (compares 2021) and looking at Photoshops webside (2023) I imagine 2022 is the same. You pay only a one time fee for Elements. Of course Photoshop is subscription based. Therefore, the Woot deal is very good for most people.
