These do NOT work. Meaning they do not solar charge. I have bought four of these. Not one charges in the sun. I have called and emailed the manufacturer Aduro multiple times to no avail. It’s a scam.
DO NOT BUY. They do NOT work. I have five NONE charge with the sun. Do NOT buy. I bought 3 on Amazon from a reputable company cost less than $30 each But they work. DO NOT buy these!!!
Thank you for your honesty! Nobody wants to purchase something and be nothing expect disappointment only. So thank goodness for you
This is woot, so be prepared to be disappointed
Being very generous with the quoted size of the solar “panel” area as approximating 14-15 square inches, that isn’t nearly enough. Particularly if it isn’t left, stationary in full sunlight, for hours at a time. Which will not be happening clipped to your pants, a purse, etc. Even if sitting on your dash while parked, the window glass greatly reduces the insolation needed to charge the battery.
Maybe these work if left in bright sunlight for a long time. And maybe not.
Thank you for the warning, I was about to purchase it and remembered that the forums are a great way to get informed. Thank you again!
Thank you for sharing this information!! No one likes to be scammed… I thought woot was trustworthy because it’s part of Amazon but I guess I was wrong.
Same for me. Doesn’t work at all unless you need a paperweight. I bought two and they did not work. Aduro does not respond to customers looking for service.
I’m not so concerned about the solar changing features. Can you charge them with electricity and do they hold a charge?
HIGHLY likely they work just fine with the underlying 6000 mAh functionality - as a solar charger, meh, but as a power bank, sure (albeit, as some point out, a bit pricey).
They work fine as regular charger, not as a solar charger though. There are smaller, more powerful, less $ chargers out there.
Pretty sure Woot! receives these products, promotional descriptions and all (which are often generated by the original third-party poster/seller) from Amazon, with some few changes (to fit the look/feel here) - and THEN Woot! provides the “comments” forum as a reality-check/feedback service. Woot! is good about updating/revising things which are reported as unclear, contradictory, dubious or confusing - “trust” SEEMS to be being earned (except maybe with those intentionally (truth-in-advertising) ever-disappointing BoCs)…
Or should that be “Bags-o’-Crap”? Grammer me, o’Pundits!..
