I have a different model that I bought here a while back and have to say that I positively love it. I bought 3 at the time and grow butter lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers in them with great success.
If you look at the pic on the product page with just the tomato plant and the pod in the air on the left, you can see how much room it takes up. I have a pic below of mine so using all available slots in these is heavily dependent on what you are growing. Any kind of salad vegetables are going to spread and you want space for the light to get through.
I definitely recommend growing stuff in these. I have never had such delectable cucumbers and tomatoes until I started growing them in an Aerogarden. This is a single tomato plant pod in a 6 pod unit with no others used so you can see how much space they take up:
Here are some cucumbers from the last harvest here:

What cucumber seeds did you plant? I was concerned the Bounty was too small for that option.
I’ve been doing lettuce and cherry tomatoes in mine. (Although I think I have a Harvest which is smaller.)
I am using a Harvest Elite Slim for my cucumbers. I believe the Bounty is a lot bigger so it should not be a problem.Your Elite is larger than my Slim as well. In my unit, what typically happens is that I will get about 5 cucumbers that take off and grow well and the others will stunt. After I pick the ones that are ready, the cycle will repeat, I’ll get a handful that mature and some that stunt again.
These are the seeds that I bought. I would not consider them mini cucumbers at all. They have quite a bit of girth and are about 6-7 inches in length. The minis that I have purchased in the market are much smaller than these girth-wise.
Mine have been ready to eat at around day 50. A couple were ready a week before that. It’s like you see this small cuke and a few days later bam, it just blows up.
I got up the nerve to try cucumbers after watching this video. This guy is great. I bought a pack of Iznik seeds but I have not tried them out yet.
Please share some tips on how to grow cucumber, what variety did you use? Which aerogarden model did you grow it on, how much nutrient did you use and how do you pollinate it? I tried cucumbers before but it was a completely failure ![]()
All of the seeds that I have purchased are self pollinating so that is not an issue.
I only use one slot on my garden at the extreme left or right so I can train the vine to grow sideways across the deck.
Once I have a lot (15ish) baby cucumbers showing, I will snip new vines that appear so the unit can distribute nutrients to a reasonable number of them. You will notice that several cucumbers will blow up and grow and others will stunt. Once you harvest a few of them, others will begin to fatten up. You may get only a few at a time but it’s so worth it. You’ll be adding water often.
The only nutrients that I use is the bottled plant food that came with the Aerogarden when it prompts me every 14 days.
Please post up if you decide to give it another try!
I have three Aerogardens set up right now - all Harvests - much smaller than the Bounty. I am growing tomato plants in two (one plant/garden). One has a yellow cherry tomato and the other a red. These are newer plant, but my last red cherry grew and produced tomatoes for 3 years. I have seed starter kits for these which allows me to start outdoor plants for summer - so far I have started San Marzano and beefstake tomatoes, kale and herbs (basil, parsley, thyme and rosemary. Except for the cost of the Aerogaden, this saves money be buying seeds instead of plants and I get better germination than I would if I planted the seeds directly in the soil. The only issue I have had is being careful the no water enters the base - when it does it shorts out the computer circuitry. Now I want to try cucumbers!
