Affresh Washer Machine Cleaner, 6-Tablets, 8.4 oz

Come on - please be realistic about your pricing. Your own PARENT COMPANY is selling these NOT for $13.98 as you line-through to calculate our “savings” but for $11.49.

Sure, this is still a savings, and we are only talking about a couple of bucks, but as a percentage you are doubling the apparent discount while DIRECTLY LINKING to the Amazon reviews.

It’s bullsh!t like this that you lose credibility for, and why your sales are falling and have been since Meh came up.

Having ranted, I’ll be ordering some of these, so it’s not like I am just ranting.

Don’t forget that different people see different prices not only based on the current supply/demand ratio at Amazon but also on the customer’s demographic. Myswlf I am seeing a base price of $11.65 here, plus a coupon for 20% off leaving the price at $9.98.

FWIW, I used to use these until I found a method that works just as well: after the wash is done, just toss in a half cup of vinegar and spin the drum, then then leave the washer door open the rest of the day to let any standing water evaporate out. If you have a small laundry room, leave the fan on to help with the drying out.

Wow…thanks for the heads up - darn ole vinegar works for just about any cleaning job it appears. I am still going to buy and use these tablets being offered here but now not as often -use the vinegar every 6 washes (2 weeks) and the tablets about once a month…thanks again !

So, what is this stuff?
MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET:

Contains:

  • Dipropylene Glycol Butyl Ether
  • Monoethanolamine

Dipropylene Glycol Butyl Ether:
http://www.khchemicals.com/product-categories/propylene-glycol-ethers/dipropylene-glycol-mono-butyl-ether-2/
Dipropylene Glycol Butyl Ether is a cleaning agent that can also be found in cosmetics such as facial soaps because of its ability to dissolve dirt and other substances and to retain moisture. It’s particularly good at removing soap scum, mold and mildew stains. Like its sister ingredient Dipropylene Glycol Propyl Ether, it works by loosening the scum or stain from a surface. It is readily biodegradable, and is unlikely to bioaccumulate in the environmental food chains. Additionally, Dipropylene Glycol Butyl Ether is less toxic to aquatic organisms than many alternatives.

Monoethanolamine

Monoethanolamine is a viscous, hygroscopic amino alcohol with an ammoniacal odor. It is widely distributed in biological tissue and is a component of lecithin. It is used as a surfactant, fluorimetric reagent, and to remove CO2 and H2S from natural gas and other gases.

List price is not the retail on Amazon. It’s the MSRP -manufacturer,s suggested retail price.

we show one price to everyone. No games

He was talking about the list price shown on the main page.

Great info, thanks!

They sell for $9.98 on Walmart.com, but that is for a 5 count box.

Wyoming does not like clean washing machines.

I guess it’s ok if you have Prime. Can get the same thing at local Lowes for $12.

wseltzer uses Reference!
It’s super-effective!

I do it after every wash myself - I don’t want anything growing in there at all, if I can help it

I don’t think that’s so? It definitely varies by geographic location, and whether or not one is a primer member, and in-stock amounts, and overall demand during a set time period. I’ve seen prices fluctuate myself between looking at an item on my phone while out and about and then again on my home pc later on. Dynamic pricing is certainly a real effect, and one sees references to it in online media fairly often as well.

By “we”, I mean Woot. Woot shows only one price to everyone.
