Alexa-Enabled Ora WiFi Mini Smart Plugs

" This device allows you to charge any of your devices, appliances or gadgets with ease from the comfort of your existing wall outlet, without any hubs and/or adapters. "

So, it’s an extremely short extension cord?

So how does this charge my device as stated in the description? Think it is just snon/off relay.

Yeah, I think if you change the word “charge” to “control”, then the description becomes correct. This device has nothing to do with charging anything.

Correct…this functions only as an on/off switch. It also has the ability to set timers and schedules for the on/off function. We have several of these of various types around our house, and like that we can control everything from our phones and tablets. By the way, if you use the Smart Life app, these specific plugs work great with it; no need to add the Jinvoo Smart app recommended by the product.

previous versions of this had a ESP wifi chip in it.

but, same price on ebay with free shipping. woot is not giving us the best deal here.

$34.99 on Amazon with free shipping. Woot charges $6 to ship. Not the same Woot

If you have Prime and use Login with Amazon, you get free shipping here as well.

Not the same wooter. :stuck_out_tongue:

Has anyone came up with a way to use these with a coffee maker that has a momentary switch for turning it on/off?

I don’t want to buy a cheapo coffee maker with a normal on/off switch just to tell Alexa/Google to start the coffee.

Ah, come on, do it. You know you want to.

Are these able to be added/controlled to/by Samsung Smartthings?
