“Tone of voice analysis”?
I’m not sure I like the sound of that.
I’ve had one of these Halo bands for almost a year and a half, and I love it. The tone of voice analysis creeps me out too, so I simply turned it off.
The fitness tracking and the sleep tracking have both been super useful in helping me change my habits to get more rest and more cardio activity. And the body composition analysis has been really interesting, but alas, somewhat harder to change ![]()
I read the reviews on it before it was released and they were bad re the tone of voice - I believe Amazon has done away with it bc of the customer response
It’s the $4 monthly subscription that keeps me from buying. I have several other activity trackers, which do almost as much analysis. And in some cases much more, such as sport specific analysis. Yet I’ve never seen any other activity tracker on the market that requires a subscription.
Garmin and others offer watches for $150 or less. In 3 years this device will cost as much, and growing, while the others are actual watches and can display texts, exercise statistics, etc.
Do any current Halo owners out there feel the subscription is worth the cost?
The Halo View has a watch which sounds better to me. Beware if your skin is sensitive to nickel, I saw pics of skin problems.
Amazon has a deal on Halo bands- buy 1, get 2nd for 1/2 off.

I received this and connected it to my phone. I’ve never owned another Halo before. How does the “membership free for six months” part work? Neither the Halo nor Amazon thinks I’m supposed to get 6 months of free membership, so it’s asking me to sign up, and pay, $4.99 per month to use it. For 6 months that’s $30 more dollars. I wouldn’t have paid $40 for it in the first place knowing this as it clearly stated in the description that membership was free for 6 months. @ThunderThighs, can you help?
She’s on vacation. You might need to contact regular customer service.
Hi there, if you haven’t already done so please reach out to Woot! Customer Service.
From a browser, use the Woot! Customer Service form.
In the Woot! App, choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.
Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.
(Please Note: I’m not employed by Woot, but I volunteer to help in the forums.)
Hi there. Sorry to hear about the trouble redeeming the membership. We reached out to the Halo team, and received this response:
You should get the 6 month membership. If you are having an issue with your app or device, please reach out to customer service using this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/contact-us/. Click on Kindle, Fire or Alexa device, then select Amazon Halo. Click on any headers and then select “I need more help” to chat with an associate.
Same issue. My card was charged immediately. Explanation about it being a returned product that was linked to the purchaser’s account. Got gift card amount equal to 6 months of membership plus a few months for having to talk with 5 different people to get it resolved.
