What is the distance between the drip tray and portafilter?
A portafilter is what you put the espresso grinds into and the drip dray is where the water goes underneath where you’d set a cup. As an aside, don’t buy this. You wont be able to make good espresso with this. Good espresso is expensive to do at home with a machine. If you’re looking for something a bit more entry level on the cost side of espresso start looking at either an older lever machine (like a la pavoni) and a grinder or a manual espresso maker like the flair.
Thank you, Rob S. I know what a portafilter and a drip tray are. I want to know if I can get a Fiesta coffee mug underneath the portafilter without having to tilt it. I just want to make coffee.

I saw that on Amazon and they were described as espresso cups. We like Fiestaware!
I’ve been pleased with this purchase and would like to have an extra portafilter on hand - does anyone know what brand/model works with this espresso maker? I’d like to buy one that someone else has had success with already.
