Assumed there were some shenanigans going on with this listing, but it looks like they also extend to the actual product on Amazon.
HDMI cables that are properly labelled as ‘High Speed’ are certified up to 10.2Gbps/4K30. Certified cables that support 48Gbps/8K60 are properly labelled ‘Ultra High Speed’. See this page on hdmi.org for details on the actual official cable types.
So, buyer beware; The reviews on Amazon seem to suggest that these will probably work as advertised, however, product images in reviews show packaging that says ‘High Speed 8K’, which is not an official cable designation. There’s also a braided version labelled ‘Premium High Speed 8K’, also not an official designation. None of the packages display the seals available to certified cables. For shorter lengths like this, and for the TVs that most people own, any old cable will probably work fine, but there’s an epidemic of garbage cables out there, particularly on Amazon. If you’re actually pushing something like 8K high-refresh 4K through a cable that can’t handle it, you’ll likely see issues like audio cutting out, video blinking on and off, etc.
