Is this a LifeVac knock off? I bought a LifeVac here on woot some time ago for much more than what’s being offered here. It looks very similar to the LifeVac but I can’t feel the difference in material quality from the pictures.
I have the same question too. Did you buy it to compare with LifeVac yet?
I asked google “LifeVac knockoffs” and found this article from NIH that placed grape, cashew and wet saltines in a fresh cadever to see if LigeVac or DeChoker can remove them.
Only LifeVac can removed the wet saltines but both devices may injure the tongue and oral cavity. I wonder if a life person will respond differently than a cadaver. Unfortunately, we will never know.
Summary, a knock off, in this case DeChoker, doesn’t perform as well as a LigeVac.

didn’t even notice that. For this reason alone, pass! If they can’t even get the label right, it’s probably a bad knock off.
