8tb is a lot. If someone can use 8tb I think it is safe to say that they are a digital hoarder. Digital hoarders are a lot cleaner than the traditional hoarder though.

Maybe it’s the only way to get 64GB RAM?
Also if your thing is storing various crypto wallets with their respective blockchains, 8TB is probably needed.
What graphics card does it have?
The Apple M1 Max CPU has an integrated 32-core GPU for graphics. Here’s a site that lists benchmarks and other info: Apple M1 Max 32-Core GPU - Benchmarks and Specs - NotebookCheck.net Tech
Video files take up a lot of space so if someone is into video editing, 8TB would be very needed. And I am a hobbyist photographer and shoot RAW (uncompressed large photo files) which take up a lot of space. I have terabytes of photos. There are valid reasons to need a lot of space.

Thanks. Interesting that it has no dedicated graphics memory.
Unified memory means that one doesn’t have to duplicate the work and usage of the other.
The pitfall is that it’s not upgradable. A significant reason to its speed is that it’s right on the same chip. Once a configuration is set, that’s it.

Is this eligible for AppleCare+?
