Mine just came and the Apple logo back has been replaced. In the place where the logo would be was a sticker that WOULD NOT PEEL OFF. I scraped with a fingernail for over 5 minutes and it came apart in layers. The adhesive seemed set onto the metal back - even after two treatments with adhesive remover its outline remained. 10 minutes later I was finally able to buff it with a microfiber cloth but the outline of the label still shows if you huff on it. WAY OVERKILL. Buy quality labels for this price! It’s charging right now and the Apple logo came up as soon as the battery had a little charge in it. Curious what IOS is on it…
UPDATE: it doesn’t work. bummer. I’ll avoid refurbs here on woot in future.
Had to pay to send it back to the refurb. outfit (Encore Repair Services) so today I’ve paid more for this than if I bought it in the Apple store ($149, free shipping). Apple replaces the battery and outer shell with a 1 year warranty, just like a new one.
