You’re asking about the 12" iPad Pro, I presume. If it helps, here’s some info you could look up on Apple’s site for comparison.
My M2 MBA 13" fits into this nicely.
My Apple iPad Pro 10.5" Leather Sleeve fits inside this with an M2 Ipad Pro 11" in it. (Though I usually use an Apple Smart Folio, the Leather Sleeve is quite handy, as it has a pocket for an Apple Pencil. They were selling them here on Woot for ~$25, but no longer AFAICT.)
You can find Apple’s dimensions specs (usually very precise and accurate) on the Tech Specs pages for an item, or a “Compare models” page for items. With that, you can compare the height & width of a 12" Ipad Pro with a MBA 13" M2 or M3. (Edit: Looks like the MBA is 0.5” wider than an iPad Pro 12” is tall, so there’d be a little wiggle room. It’s possible that an iPad Pro with a Smart Folio or other very thin case will fit. My 4th gen iPad Pro with Smart Folio seems about as thick as my MBA.)
The leather on both the Apple covers/sleeves that I mention is very nice, and a bargain at the Woot price IMHO. Even if you can’t use this for an iPad Pro, you’re likely to find something that fits into this.

Yup! I am specifically asking about the 13 inch iPad m4 pro. Good call for looking at the specs; it seems to be close (if not extra play) on the Apple website.
If anyone else has thoughts on the m4 pro, let me know!
Suggest you pick up a Smart Folio or similar (not sure if hte one Woot has for M1, M2 models works with the M4 model), as the folio may prevent “sliding around” in the MB Sleeve.
