I picked up the same model from Woot back in October of last year. It is a fantastic machine. There is nothing the newer versions can do that this laptop can’t – except Thunderbolt 5 capability. The M1 Max is almost as capable as the M4.
Bonus-Because the purchase date showed as 1986, I was able to get with Apple support and update the purchase date to where I was able to buy AppleCare.
It was 2299 when I got mine. This is an amazing price. The 8TB SSD alone is worth more.
