Alright, anyone else order these and actually receive them? Tracking has said they were picked up by the shipping partner almost two weeks ago. They were supposed to arrive by today… me thinks I’m not getting these.
USPS is abysmally slow. You might give it some more time.
I talked to USPS and they said they have not received the package (it isn’t in their system) as the tracking says and they said I needed to contact the seller. I contacted the Woot CS last week and got a response that it would arrive by today but the tracking this morning still says the same thing from August 12. I get the PO is slow but I have never had something take this long so I suspect they are lost somewhere along the line.
There’s something about the hand-off from Amazon to USPS that takes forever. Our site is shared with Amazon Merch so our shipments gets combined with theirs.
Give it another couple days and reach out to CS again. I’m sorry.
Okay. I bought them for a trip we are going on with a looong flight so my wife and I could plunk on our iPads to pass the time. I thought a month was plenty of time to get them but now I’m going to be sweating it. I didn’t realize this guy was going to be delivering them…
I agree I’ve seen some shipments delayed 7 to 10 days while sitting in the USPS system.
I’ve also had the Postal Service report that they delivered a prescription refill, but they didn’t,then I filed a claim, and the package magically showed up five weeks later. Suspicious? you bet. F*** the USPS.
Happened to catch this, I’m stuck in the same boat. I contracted CS last week to ask if the TBA# could be shared as Amazon has their own tracking website. CS replied on Sunday with the “ occasionally a shipment may be lost in transit by circumstances beyond our control.
I’ve checked inventory, but unfortunately we are unable to send a replacement at this time.”
Which is odd since there was another Apple Pencil listing that was still active for New (open box) with the Orange pool of text saying these were new, never been handled, pristine etc. etc.
I’ve since ordered this one hoping it arrives but I agree. Did USPS muck up and fail to scan the shipment and it’s not lost in their black hole of undelivered items or did Amazon manage to misplace the item.
Given that I’ve been ordering from Amazon for many years without a single delivery mishap and 2 items handled by USPS this year have so far had issues (one of them arrived in their clear plastic bag of shame that my item was lost but they delivered the package envelope to show it was delivered 
), my money is almost certainly on USPS.
Maybe this will be my BOC consolation prize for missing out the other week and the original order will still magically show up in my mailbox. Not holding my breath but typically the other items USPS has managed to deliver from Woot were in my mailbox days later without issue. Oddly the last one, Amazon had delivered to my local post office and I didn’t see a status change till the day it showed up in my mailbox unexpectedly. Normally I see it handed off in TX with USPS handling the full delivery to FL. Would honestly rather have Amazon just deliver it from doorstep to doorstep, at least their delivery success rate is still at 100% on my scorecard.
Hi there. An “open box” item will have a different SKU than this one. Our system wouldn’t see it as a replacement option.
Okay, so I contacted Woot CS anyway on Monday and I just got a response from “Prabhakar R” saying you guys have initiated an RMA and I received a return UPS label?!??! Seriously, WTF?
I’m guessing that is how the refund has to be processed but I did respond that I didn’t receive a package so I have nothing to return.
On a positive note… I did receive my BOC yesterday and the MAC Studio I bought last week is arriving today so some things are working as they are supposed to…
Weird, so you didn’t receive one either?!?! Sounds like there is a glitch in the Matrix over at Woot via the Amazonian portal.
Sigh. Poor CS is just moving too fast trying to get caught up. I’ll send a note.
No worries, I just got an email that a refund has been initiated so it looks like its all straightened out. I picked up a couple Apple Pencils locally for our trip so we are all set. Thanks for jumping in!!
Again with the side note: the Mac Studio arrived just now so I’ll forget all about a couple pencils since I have a bigger toy to play with now!
