Interesting Woot stepped up with a 2-year warranty (double Appleās!) this summer for a scratch & dent Apple Watch 7, but is sticking with the more typical 90-day Woot warranty for this āGrade Aā Apple Watch 9.
While I donāt use the blood-ox feature on my aluminum Series 7 Cellular all that often, it is nice to check if Iām not feeling well. At $350 for the much more durable Stainless case+Sapphire Crystal Series 9 being sold here Iād seriously consider upgrading if I believed it would have a scratch free crystal like āAā implies.
The earliest sold Series 9 is only a bit older than 12 months, so unless the battery was abused, should have a solid battery.
With all refurb Apple products that can show āBattery Healthā (iPhones and Watches) and the seller promised a specific Battery Health, be sure to verify immediately upon receipt. (On the watch, Settings/General/Battery/Battery Health)
I bought my Series 7, new, about 18 months after the Series 8 shipped. So now I am approaching 2 years and Battery Health is 80% (that it is noticeable in use). Kinda disappointed since I do not abuse it (heat/cold, running it all the way down to zero). But Iād speculate that even tho Apple ships them at partially charged, sitting on the shelf isnāt all that wonderful for the battery. Lithium Ion batteries deteriorate based upon time, cycles and conditions.
Curious about more data points on these. Iām a bit nervous about the unclearness of āGrade A Refurbishedā, whatever that means practically. I own an aluminum series 8 and was gifted a 10 for Christmas, but Iām super interested in the stainless steel. (Owned a series 0 steel and it was lush.) Not too butthurt about moving to a 9 instead of a 10, especially if itās steel, but enough of yāall talking about scuffs and dents makes me feel unsettled about jumping on this.
Yeah, the grading of refurbs on woot is a little vague and even the guarantees are suspect. I recently ordered and received a series 5 that was grade A refurbished and guaranteed to have at least 85% life. The exterior of the watch was good and I think could be considered A class condition. Some minor scuffing on the wheel was the only thing noticeable. BUT the battery was only at 77% health. Granted this listing is a series 9 and much newer than my 5, and SHOULD have a better battery. However, donāt take woot (or its vendor) at its word. As soon as you get it, check the battery life. ANY watch at 77% is not really useable.
Hey there,
I am trying to reach out CS for almost a week. The team is not responding on email/phone. Theyāve asked me to send photos of the product I received, and since then, nothing.
Hello. They responded to you yesterday. Make sure you check spam/junk folders.
Please can anyone confirm that it is Grade A? Does it look like a new one? Or has scratches? Thanks.
@ThunderThighs , thanks. I responded, and now waiting for them to answer. The process is really slow. Is it possible to contact you by phone somehow?
Good morning. Sorry but our phones arenāt on at this time.
