Have to be really lucky because these are in various Amazon warehouses and BOCs are built in our Woot Texas warehouse. :w_tongue:

Darn, they got my hopes up for a second! I am wondering if this would work in my car, but really don’t want to buy one :joy:

Anyone actually have one of these swamp coolers?

I bought one of these last year. It worked OK for about a month and then stopped turning on completely. It provides some cooling air, but it was not as dramatic as I was hoping for. Based on the durability of the product, I would not recommend anyone.

People get upset that these don’t cool like an AC does. They fail to understand that these are not good for places with high humidity, nor will they cool an entire house. These are air coolers. They are for small areas, and they add humidity to the room. Great for The Southwest and parts of the west coast. Not so great for the great lakes or the south

You can power this one via the included USB cable and battery bank. It operates on low power. The fan good for the size. It also works with wall adapters, but doesn’t come with one

@turtle1960 Dunno anyone who thought this was even close to an HVAC, or could cool an entire home. Very obviously a small space cooler. This conditions a tiny space of air in front of it - not an HVAC or car AC

I have read several reviews on these things and many talk about the lack of cooling in their homes

Gotcha all good it’s the typical size of a desktop / personal fan. Luckily the structure of a dwelling can help keep humidity at bay, but seems like these folks are in a place with no central AC and getting this hoping to cool their personal space but their expectations are a bit high for a unit this size. Especially if they cook and shower in non ventilated areas.

I bought one thinking it would actually help. It barely does anything and if it’s not in your face like a foot away you won’t feel anything. I think I spent 35$ on mine :/. If you do get it, best bet is to soak the filter then freeze it. And just put ice in the cooler itself along with a little bit of water.

if you get it in a BOC or wahtever, it’s good enough. Basically just a desktop fan. soak and freeze the filter, add ice to the tray to make it cool a bit longer but tbh you are better with a regular fan and just putting a bucket of ice water behidn it.

This device is the size of a tissue box. It blows very little air, so it has to be right in front of you to feel any air movement. If you like disappointment, buy this. It is right up your alley. Otherwise save your money, and pass.

What genius thought this fan didn’t only cool a small area in front of it? Also you say the same thing every time something is re posted, just saying most people realize the small fan won’t cool a large area so I’m confused why you make such a big deal about this $20 product lol

Also the size of the fan doesn’t define how much air it can blow

I posted because this fan is worth $5 max.

Kk well why do you keep pretending this fan isn’t a personal/desktop fan, if you want to go on about it not being worth the money that’s one thing

But isn’t fair saying the obviously small personal fan doesn’t cool an entire room, baffled you even assumed that in the first place, I really don’t understand it lmfao I struggle to try to understand the headspace behind it. Where does it say it’s going to cool an entire room? It clear as day the thing needs extreme maintainence is obviously used in sessions when you get overheated

Just say you wouldnt pay $20 for a desktop fan with a gimmicky cooling method.

I’m really curious to understand why you set the expectation so high for a fan that is obviously too small to do that. . please explain that because it kind of bothers me not to understand the thought process

Because I bought one of these just to have as a desktop/ personal fan (like for a personal workspace or lounge area like a living room recliners end table) and that’s how I tested it & it worked well for me. I pulled the trigger because I saw the USB power and knew I could power it during a hurricane. So for $20 I can have my gimmicky cooling method that would be much more pronounced effect in actual heat, like a power outage and power it with a battery bank & have a cool area. . So it is worth it as long as you actually review or talk about it for what it is. . Again would love to know why you expected a small fan like that to do much cooling :man_shrugging: waiting on your reply

What part of 3/5 star rating on Amazon do you not understand?

If you had taken the time to read reviews, you would have seen that previous buyers thought that it would cool an entire room and/or provide really cold air.

“I have read several reviews on these things and many talk about the lack of cooling in their homes”

You even commented, “these folks are in a place with no central AC and getting this hoping to cool their personal space but their expectations are a bit high for a unit this size.”

I get the last laugh and lmfao.

Okay I’m still confused why other people having wrong expectations justifies what you are saying, you really keep talking [MOD: personal attack removed]

You bought that thinking it would cool their home like central AC? Yea in that scenario the tiny fan gets a 3/5? That’s generous to me. [MOD: personal attack removed]

You say it doesn’t work for a use case it’s not designed for , but you talk like it’s supposed to be. that is logic I can’t seem to understand is why you would even think it can cool a home in the first place.

Cause in trying so hard to communicate this to you in the most basic way by connecting some logic ( like the small fan isn’t designed for central AC) but I can’t help someone who literally can see how foolish it is to go on yelling about something being bad at something it isn’t made for.

I knew you were grasping for straws when you said it wasn’t even worth $5, completely ignored how stupid it is to say you’ll be disappointed thinking a 6inch fan can supplement central AC or be anything more than what it is visually, and described as. Just think about how silly you sound constantly posting that anytime this product is posted. . That the 6 inch fan can’t replace central AC so the product sucks , I mean really I don’t get it
