I believe there’s a misprint in the second paragraph.
Full Desktop Power. Console Size.
The GR8 II is powered by the latest desktop-grade 7th Generation Intel Core i7 quad-core processor with 8GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory.
I believe this should say i5 and 16GB correct?

I would agree…I think it would be a little more expensive with an i7 in there.

I wonder why these are coming back factory reconditioned…Seems like a decent rig and this price is pretty good for that much power. 230w power supply does sound a little under-powered to me though.

Reviews at Newegg are 4 out of 5 stars, but only 6 reviews. The one bad review seemed like there was a shipping issue that may have damaged the product.

Thank you! We’ll get that corrected.

No keyboard or mouse included?

Pretty interesting component choices for this kind of budget VR system. My overall thoughts is that this system is excellent value for what’s included, but for a budget VR system I would expect different choices. Saving money by not using DDR4 or 2.5" SSD instead of M.2, then upgrading to a decent i7 CPU for example would make this way better. Other than just odd configurations and a badly designed case(imo) I would only lightly recommend this based on the value, but for entry VR there are better choices especially with 1060s dropping in price.

You are correct. No keyboard or mouse.

This is a good value for what’s included. Especially factoring in that this is small form factor size. You’d be hard pressed to part a system together on your own at this price (darn Bitcoin/data miners).

I own one of these. I bought it about a year ago for VR purposes.

If you are looking for cheap entry into VR, this will do. If you are looking to go hardcore into VR (like Fallout 76 VR and other big VR games later) for the next couple years, the downside to this PC is it’s small custom case. You really can’t upgrade other than swapping out RAM. On some of those intensive games like Fallout and Skyrim, this thing can stutter and run very hot (another downside to the small case, everything packed close is harder to keep cool). Another downside is the amount of USB ports. That sounds odd since it has 6, but my Rift takes 3 of those ports, mouse takes 1, and the keyboard takes 1. VR games take a lot of space on this things 500GB HDD, no room to add an internal drive means I have to go external USB drive. I ended up using the 2 USB 3.0 ports on the back to run 2 powered USB hubs (don’t use hubs powered off the PC, 230W isn’t enough to do that). Other than those, this is a great PC. It is above “casual gamer” but below “hardcore gamer” when it comes to new games coming out. Currently, I play a lot of Skyrim SE. My game is running at Ultra settings, with about 240 mods, mostly graphic mods to boost the visuals to 2k or 4k. It runs great, easily keeping at or above 60fps. For VR, games like Arizona Sunshine and Dirt Rally run well, but after about an hour It starts stuttering as that heat is a bit much.

Like I said, I’ve been running this PC as my main gaming rig for the past year, never had an issue.

I decided to post this since there does not seem to be a lot of reviews on this PC anywhere.
