Bags of crap are sold like any other item sold on woot. A new item is shown each midnight Central time, but the identity of the item is not publicized in advance. Merchandise is also sold in rapid sequence during special events known as woot-offs, in which new items are shown almost as soon as the previous item sells out, not waiting until midnight. You can get in on it by pressing the “I want one” button when you see it go on sale.

Woot offs seem to be lasting about 43-44 hours recently. Probably just coincidence and I’ve seen one go into a 3rd day.

Lots of luck!!! I have been a member of Woot almost since its beginning. Never have gotten one. Gets frustrating when for months you log on before midnight CT and for some reason they are all sold out… starting before midnight? … I GIVE UP! Don’t waste your time.
I followed the mini-battery-wootoff yesterday and missed all four chances. I have been trying (mostly passively) to buy one for 3 years with no luck. I’m not giving up, but I doubt I will be so lucky. Most of the time I can’t get the woot home page to load until it is sold out.

I’ve managed to snag one (x3) BOC and my boyfriend has managed, in the last April Fools, to grab one. (x3) I might have gotten one, had Woot not told me I “Already purchased one from this sale”. The reason we were able to score some: Wootalyzer. They have a feature which automatically opens the “Buy it” page when it pops up. That extra second of not having to click I Want One I think helps. Maybe you should try that?

Me too. I ended up “in line” for the 3rd one, but nothing came of it. The other 3 times came up during the few times I couldn’t be at my computer for some reason. I had started to believe it was a conspiracy against me, and I’d never actually even see one. >.<

It used to be different b4 the management change, and now it’s mostly junk they want to unload, but it’s not about what you get; it’s about THAT you get it!
No matter how many times I have tried it is to no avail. I have given up and don’t even give crap a second look.

They range from crappy to out of this world. Some folks have gotten working big screen tvs’s in their BOC. Someone recently received a virtual butt load of stuff (a large playhouse that several kids could fit into was just one of the items).
I scored my first and only BOC by completing a crossword puzzle (well, other folks completed it but I was able to figure out the bit.ly web address by using the first letter of each answser… there was one puzzle answer that wasn’t published but I made a good guess). My BOC was underwhelming but has some useful items likes stationery and notebooks. A 3XL shirt that I can sell or donate to charity, a bag of air, and set of throwing knives covered in dust that I can resell one day. Your mileage may vary.
I don’t care what’s in my RBOC… I scored one. I might sleep at the mailbox until it arrives.
