It says it comes with “cable”! So are they referring to the programming cable because I don’t see any mention of a cable in the description?

Aside from the cable, how is this different from the UV-5REX?
Been so close to picking up 3 of 4 of these for many years - to supplement (improve?) our Motorola FRS radios.
But every time I get serious, I get lost in a sea of model versions and differing opinions as to which model is the one to get.
Only three things are clear from all that research:

You need the programming cable since the user interface sucks.

They’re perfectly legal as long as you don’t broadcast on the verboten frequencies.

You want them from a supplier where the Baofeng warranty survives. Not that they’re unreliable - only that if you need support, they’re persnickety due to all the copycats.
Not to mention that this UV-5REX “deal” is no deal. I’d bite if they were $19.99.
