What is this, exactly? USB 3.0? It says “PD” cable but I’m sure it still transmits data. Any, you know, specifications?
Hi there. These are being obtained from Amazon inventory so we don’t have a lot of information. Here it is on Amazon. There may be more information there.
I haven’t measured data transfer, but hooked it up to an Apple 96w charger, and my MBA reported 94w received. Nomenclature on the cord case says “Retractable charging cable,” so…. If it’s fast data transfer you want, I’d get a USB-3 or Thunderbolt 3 cable.
BTW, “PD” means “power delivery.”
It’s only about 95cm long, fully extended, but seems to be built pretty sturdily. I look forward to using it at my desk or on-the-go where I don’t need a full 2m cable.
EDIT: I tested, this cable doesn’t even show my USB4 SSD connected to a Mac Mini. So as the description says, this is a charging cable not a data transfer cable.
