CR2032 3V Lithium batteries are just a standard battery format with hundreds or thousands of applications.
Here’s some on the mothership for the equivalent of $.60 each.
Alas, some folks just want some “confirmation”, don’t mind paying extra, and sellers are more than willing to cater to that.
At my old job, we had a customer that needed an older control valve replaced. The original manufacturer no longer existed, but there are others that are a physical match. We told them that – “but how do we know it works the same?”. Exasperated, our vendor created a new product SKU on their system and called it a “replacement for” with a higher price. Our customer didn’t mind to pay that extra FOR THE VERY SAME PRODUCT that we originally quoted anyway. They were happy, we made more $, our vendor made more $ – all because of how the product was named.
Back to the batteries, these are what I’ve used before:
I also have a whole box of 2016 cells from an IRK, so I’ll use them where feasible. It’s a penny extra, however. A penny is 19.05mm in diameter and 1.52mm thick; add that to a 1.6mm of a 2016 cell, and there’s my extra cheap, low capacity, pseudo 2032 cell.

Exactly – and even though the value is debatable for those who know, at least this brand isn’t obscuring the battery size here like I’ve seen with some other brands/sellers for AC adapters. They will purposely position the wire over the adapter’s output or obscure it in some other way so it’s not easily (re)searchable.
