Testimonial:
As a paid user, I can definitely vouch for the quality of this language learning app.
Not much more to say than that.
Feel free to ask any questions; I’ll do my best to provide you with answers.
Cheers! Prost! Salut! (You get the idea)
Would you mind listing the languages available please
Is this app a download only or is something sent to your physical address?
Per the Specs:
- Languages: Spanish, English, German, Portuguese, Korean, French, Hindi, Russian, Turkish, Chinese, Arabic, Italian, Swedish, Japanese
The negative reviews on the Apple App Store don’t give me the warm and fuzzies
Question, if you mind- how would you say this language learning program compares to other (generally more expensive) programs such as Babbel, Duolingo or Rosetta Stone? For context, I took 4 years of Spanish in High School and at one point I was conversational and could say and understand most words. But since it’s been like 10 years since then, I forgot a lot of what I had learned, but still know a little bit. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks
Does this really take 2 weeks to show up in your email??? Anyone have an actual timeframe of how long it took to get the code? Thanks!!!
I don’t have a good answer because I’m not staff, but did you check your order history to see if it was listed in there?
It took a few days to receive the code, but I did purchase on the 23rd so understandable considering the busy Christmas season, got the email today, in case anyone else is getting it. Enjoy!
Hi there @hawkeyez77
Apologies for the late reply.
I did some more thinking about this product and also did a comparison to a few other language learning platforms I subscribe and used or have used in the past.
Re: Beelingua, I believe it’s quite worth it. However, I would not suggest it though for someone who is trying to initially learn the basics of the language. It’s meant, at least IMHO, for those looking to strengthen the skills they already have-namely increase your vocabulary.
If I to make a suggestion, I would strongly, strongly advise: LINGO-PIE (or Lingo-Pi)
It’s a pretty awesome app. It does pretty much the exact thing that Bee does, only it’s VIDEOS (some of which are on Netflix, but you can watch them here as part of the sub).
You can follow along with the dialogue etc.
And right now, it’s about $60, bc it’s 70% off due to the holiday sale they have going on right now.
I’ve been a subscriber for 2+ years. And so, I can without a doubt, it’s worth dropping the bills for this one.
Lastly, you can watch shows in about 6-7 languages:
Spanish, German, French, Russian, Chinese and I forgot the others.
Hope that helps you!
App sucks. Said “Congratulations” with digital ticker tape and all when I entered the validation code. Then takes you to a pay screen with a free promo for a few days. Rip-off.
So… contact customer service. Don’t let them steal your money so easily like that. At least fight for your right to get a crappy app subscription!
Humor intended, but serious at the same time
