I believe this is the same model that my aunt has, and it’s a beast! When you turn it on it dims the lights in her apartment. So either an awesome blender, crappy electrical, or both.
I actually have the same blender, just without the LCD… it’s amazing. I first saw it on Top Chef, and when I finally got one (for about $150, used) I couldn’t believe the difference between it and my old cheapo blender. IMO, it’s an AWESOME deal.

wtf?? did they take the discuss the product off the main page. So you have to go the blog section, why would they do such a terrible thing.

Great price here, and overall great reviews, but the ones that have problems seem to report the same one: The blender tends to leak. The seals go bad quickly, and the bottom is very hard to screw on to make it watertight. About 10% seem to have reported this problem.
This isn’t from personal experience (I don’t own it)–just an attempt to summarize what I’ve read on it so far.

Being respiffed you can pretty much be assured that percentage will go up. Not to mention the damage from SLOWPOST.
