Yep. Same here. I thank a long-gone GF for cursing me with the valid appliance question, “Is it hard to clean?” Saved me thousands of dollars over the years. Spend five minutes at Goodwill looking at all the non-removable donated grills and you will understand.
Wifey made me get her this one - top reviews she said - does it have removable grills - nope she says - easy to clean just wipe down…
We only use 1-2 times a year cause it’s a PITA to clean.

Invalid, all you do is heat the griddle and wipe it down with a wet towel and it comes clean.
We have one and use it often. It’s very easy to clean.
Originally we used a wet washcloth on the hot grill – wiped right off.
Now we have one of these brushes and we just wipe anything on the grill off as soon as we finish cooking.
This is a great press and I’d buy one if we didn’t already have one.
