Be aware this is a discontinued item, and pricing is (somewhat) based on LACK of availability. Until they ran out themselves, Brother had been selling these at $199, so this is now what I call “collector’s pricing”, i.e. the price goes up because you JUST HAVE TO HAVE this model for some reason…
Whatever happened to discontinued = lower price? (Not a knock against Woot, a lot of etailers seem to have picked up on this “hurry, hurry before they are all gone” ploy to take advantage of those suffering from FOMO.
If you don’t want the privilege of getting an already opened box and would rather get one sealed up still new, you can find it here at a preferred price… And for the time being it includes free shipping, even if you are not a “Prime” member…
Odd that the best price this time is at OD-OM who are generally not known for great pricing.
