This happens pretty much every night at this point. Hosting needs to scale with the traffic when the new deals of the day go live every night.

On top of the regular customers buying stuff, the daily rollover is when the bots start juicing the API calls (I’m assuming, don’t really know that much about API stuff) and many will also be doing manual site crawls.

Worst part is Woot knows this might happen and doesn’t really seem to care all that much, just pass it off as “Woot being Woot”, instead of actually doing something about it.

Aside from the regular FBM flipping, stuff from retail theft, online shopping fraud, and botting gets resold physically right on the street. I live in an area that literally has huge illegal street bazaars with hundreds of immigrants and organized criminals selling everything from heavy power tools to resealed Pokemon card packs to travel-sized toothpaste tubes to single cups of ramen spread over blankets in the streets.
Took 30 minutes but my first order processed, now will I leave with my pecans tonight?
