Wow! How could these really have a list price of $89.99 for 4 of them? I have purchased these on eBay for $1.00 each including shipping from China!

Sorry Woot, but your price today is just too expensive!

I Just bought a 10 (Ten) pack on Amazon for $13.99

Looks pretty nearly identical.

Perfect for Travel? Maybe if you enjoy being strip searched by TSA?

The difference between these and the cheap ones appears to be the carbon fiber handle/case.

Why would you need 4 of them if they’re not going to be breaking constantly?

This seems like something that is waaaaay too easy to get on a plane by storing it in a wallet. TSA probably needs to come up with a way to address that ASAP.

The blade is steel, which is easily found by their metal detectors.

You make it sound like this is some new crazy innovation…these have been around in some form for at least a couple of decades. I think they know about them and know what a blade looks like.

These are NOT carbon fiber…no way, no how! They are absolutely made from some form of plastic…don’t be so gullible Woot. Let me guess …“the Chinese salesman seemed so trustworthy…” A sucker is born everyday. You want a real carbon fiber wallet knife? Uh, not for that price I don’t.

Anyway, these are supposedly CF case (not blade/etc.) I wonder if your disbelief is founded in true knowledge? Hard to really be sure as I don’t see any markings/etc. I would agree that they don’t ‘look’ like carbon fiber.

I did very accidentally go onto a plane- after being checked by TSA- with one of these that I forgot in my wallet. I don’t carry one in my wallet anymore. But I do like keeping one in my car- it’s cooler than it is functional.

What good could possibly come from knives like these? Are they trying to supply terrorists with weapons they might get on a plane or something?
[/quote]

Not everything is designed to support terrorist activities. These were given out to family members who didn’t want to carry pocket knives, yet wanted something in case they needed it. They aren’t designed for quick deployment, but are useful tools for certain situations such as severing a seat belt.

Right. Either they posted a picture of the wrong product or these are NOT carbon fiber. You can see rings all over the case from the injection molding process… If it’s a plastic cover over carbon fiber, why the hell would you do that??? It won’t be any lighter than the cheap plastic ones and doesn’t have the nice finish look of CF. I don’t get it.

If you read farther there is a warning “terrorists are NOT allowed to purchase these” clearly written in terms and conditions. See, they clearly thought this through.

Really find the selling of weapons online distasteful. I’ve been with Woot since there was one deal only and the thing sold out by 2AM. Weapon sales are a recent phenomenon, and they need to stop. You guys are making yourself liable, and I’m not looking for guns or knifes with my Star Wars humidifiers.

If these were really carbon fiber they would be fun to take aboard airplanes.

hahahaha

oh. now I am on another list.

I’d love to see someone try to use one of these as a weapon.

“Hang on, just gotta get my wallet… there we go, now you flip this, fold, fold, and… THERE! Now I’m gonna-- Where’d he go?”

The only difference between this and any other pocketknife is fitting it in your wallet. I’d be far more worried about a thug with a lockback knife than this thing.

Same here…I read/saw several sources say these were a choice weapon of ANTIFA thugs. That said, I suppose it’s up to each person how they use them, so I don’t blame Woot for selling them either.

I saw the same, Tim Pool talked about it a little on his Youtube channel. Imagine if that ANTIFA terrorist who was beating people over the head with a bike lock had a knife like this instead.
