I love the idea of a thermal camera and this is very cool
That review is very impressed with the integration since it combines the regular camera and this thermal sensor, BUT that review is 4 years old
FLIR has add on thermal modules for iPhone and Android that probably make more sense although the reviews on the FLIR One LT module (same price) aren’t that good
This has Android Oreo, which is 8.0. Current phones are shipping with Android 13. Get this if you absolutely need the FLIR camera, but if you want a phone that can run current apps, this is not that phone.
The FLIR One Gen 3 has the same resolution (80x60) and sensitivity (150 mK) as this phone and sells for $230. The Seek Compact Thermal Camera add-on, which is closer to $250, has a much higher resolution (206x156), but doesn’t do the visual/thermal overlay.
If you need a FLIR camera that also has a built-in laser rangefinder and air-quality sensor, however, this phone may be for you.
according to https://willmyphonework.net/ it will work on ATT
keep in mind that w/ it being android 8 this isn’t the phone you want to put your banking app on.
However, my impression is most of the people who buy these phones need something is rugged, and maybe use google maps.
