Wine.Woot: Summer Shippin’
Yes, it’s that time again. The days are getting longer. The temperature is rising. The children are up to no good. Hooligans. If that Frisbee lands on our roof, it’s officially our property.
Anyway, this post is to announce the annual arrival of SUMMER SHIPPING, Wine.Woot’s effort to protect your wine’s integrity during these sweltering hot months that stretch before us like an infinite horizon.
Shipping wine in the summer means using a whole suite of mind-blowing strategic measures, like faster shipping and refrigerated trucks and magic. All that sorcery can impact the price of your wine, but this year STANDARD SHIPPING IS INCLUDED in the price of your vino. No math! School’s out! Woo!
Quick note about refrigerated trucks: FedEx itself doesn’t have refrigerated trucks. So your wine might be shipped with a carrier that DOES, and then handed off to FedEx for final delivery. Consequently, the tracking info might not update until the package is actually foisted onto FedEx.
Lastly, non-wine stuff will not be impacted by anything. Except like…asteroids and melting ice caps and that sort of thing.
That’s about it. Thanks for reading our Summer Shipping Announcement. Remember: If we stick together, we might just get through this.

Wooter yes, trusted palate I think not!
Reininger makes a great Super Tuscan style blend. Can anyone weigh in on how this may compare?
I can only speak for myself.

so yea, this is where we get busy behind the scenes. Good to note, this is a better price than original offer PLUS summer shipping is included. I really like this small lot wine.

Okay - just to clarify, we can get expedited or (mostly) refrigerated shipping or whatever without having to click the expedited button and pay extra? Because that would make me really happy.
You know, since I’m currently melting in Texas faster than water on a witch.

Most of the time it’s not fast. We’ll consol packages into a refreigerated cold truck and make sure it gets to the right hub for a 1 day (sometimes) two day transit once it hits the hub. We’ve been doing this longer than anyone and are pretty good at it.

Awesome thanks!
Anyone else have this since last woot? Maybe give some additional thoughts before this sale ends.
I was notified that two kinds of wine were leaving the wineries this morning. Are those shipments also going to be sent in a refrigerated truck?
