one i got from local pharmacy is on the left of the photo, the one from woot is on the right.

from the batch code, the woot one is newer made in this year, however the woot one has a pending patent.
i should also add, these come from woot. Previously, the cerave product ordered on woot came from a fragrance merchant.

Cerave changed the package on this product. I have also purchased the item at CVS this morning, and it is identical to the one we are selling. The only difference is that the one purchased from us says patent pending. The reason for that is that at the time this batch was made, Cerave was awaiting the patent for the new packaging. You can see the production date by batch number.
Also note that the Cerave site shows the same tube that you Received.
The problem here is that my example is made in 11.2023, bottom shows patent number. The example in the reddit post was made in 01.2024, bottom shows patent number. The one from woot was showing to have been made in 01.2024, bottom shows patent pending. I also believe MYY10W is earlier than MYY13W, yet with similar style of packaging, woot one shows patent pending.
The one on the Cerave site says patent pending also.
Which means it was an old packaging that can be mimicked by counterfeits.
If you’re not happy with it, contact customer service.
I’ve returned what i got already. Your example from cvs is also in the new packaging with flat cap. It is very hard to say the example and woot ones are the same. The text in the back would also start with ‘cerave’ not ‘skin’. And the patent was for the VC and 3 ceramids delivery not product packaging.
