We were looking for a magnetic rower to see if we liked it and if we would use it. At $159, this was a good price to try. It turns out this rower is more than we were expecting. It’s smooth and quiet. Works great. There are tons of training and scenery videos on YouTube.
This is one of those budget devices that requires a regular supply of batteries to power the display, FWIW. The Woot listing doesn’t reflect that, but the listing on Amazon does. Having had a couple of stationary bikes like that, typical rechargeables don’t last very long. Just caveat emptor.
Everyone should invest in eneloops. Good life and last a long time.
I actually prefer battery powered over rechargeable because I can put eneloops in there which will probably never stop charging well, unlike the rechargeable devices. I have been using them for over 10 years with no drop in performance yet. Some have been charged over 500 times.
Just spend the money and get a Rogue Concept 2 rower.
We never have to replace the batteries at our gym, and it’s used at top level competitions.
