Found this on the mothership. Thank goodness Fakespot is still alive for a few more days, this one get a “D” from the analysis of the 362 reviews.
Can you rephrase this? I’m comparing it to two others… not a good buy?
FakeSpot uses AI to analyze the reviews for the product. The algorithm, like so many others, is not publicly defined, but it is rumored to look for things like multiple reviews being written by the same person or by AI, multiple reviews using similar language, tone or structure (and therefore not to be trusted). The FakeSpot analysis then rates the reviews with an A through F rating, F being very poor. FakeSpot is not without critics, but I find it useful and am sad that it will be discontinued on 7/1/2025. With a FakeSpot rating of D on this, I instantly took it off my list.
Plus, it sold out, so nothing to see here at this point.
Thank you for explaining. I also didn’t understand what you meant from your post. It’s too bad Fakespot is being taken down. I didn’t have much of a chance to utilize it. I didn’t even know it existed.
