I bought one of these for my garage. I’ve got heated floor in there, but I keep it at like 45° (costs a lot to heat) and use this when I’m in there working on something. It keeps me decently warm when it’s “shining” on me, but I’ve got to be pretty close to feel it. It’s a big four car garage and I’d probably need a few of these to keep me warm in a big area. I move it with me if I switch areas.
I like it. I’m getting one for my mother-in-law. She bought a townhome with a 4 season porch and this should hopefully provide the perfect heat. I’m not sure how well it will do over the winter as her porch isn’t very insulated and it regularly gets below zero here. I don’t know if she’ll keep it above freezing or if she’ll just use it when she wants to go out there. We’ll see.
I bought her one of these that hang on the wall, but it’s different and doesn’t have a remote…unless it’s just missing one. I’ll get this one just to make sure. I like having the remote, especially if it’s on the wall.
According to the 3rd photo, this thing is like 12’ tall!
