Conair 20-Piece Haircut Kit

Tons of comments from when this was last offered in March

Previous comment notes: Not good for longer hair, and some negative feedback for the battery life.

I have one and I love it. I think if you are considering it, you would be doing your self a favor in buying it. I use it for average length hair as well as cutting mine really short during the summer and do not have any problems.

Q: What’s the difference between a bad Haircut and a bad Haircut?

A: About two weeks!!

Pics?? lol

I have a mohawk and need a new set of clippers because the pair I have now don’t cut close enough to the skin without any guard - I end up having to shave my head every 5 or six days. Can you tell me if these do?

I got this during the last wootoff and it does a good job but not a great job. Sometimes I have to go over spots again to make sure I got it smooth with no stragglers left behind but not so much that it is bad.

I have straight average hair that will poof out if I don’t keep it well kept.

It comes with a good amount of accessories for most desirable lengths and is cordless with a “turbo” button to shave through your nappy dreads when you need.

So far, I’d give it a 4/5 stars.

How close does it get on the shortest setting?

If you want consistency in power and quality get a corded trimmer. I made the mistake of getting a cordless one first. Corded trimmers cost more but they are worth the investment.

We have this kit. For $20 its not bad but it doesn’t cut close to the skin. My husband has to go back and shave his neck after a haircut to clean up what was left. I use a #2 on the sides of his head and it leaves stray longer ones that i have to go back and look for. it works for now but we will be replacing it eventually with something hopefully nicer.

I’ve ran this one plugged in when the battery was dead, so that is an option.

I love cutting my hair at home. It’s a great way to save money.

I hate you, Woot!

I actually have a different Conair kit, and it’s one of the best investments I’ve ever made. You can’t go wrong with something that pays for itself in ~2 uses. I haven’t spent money on a haircut in two years and this makes me giddy inside.

Epic fail on the question:

None of these haircutting sets are really worth it if you want the closest cut possible.

I recently upgraded from a cheapo Wahl to a legit barber quality Oster Classic, and I haven’t looked back. Between the clippers and a new blade (00000 for great justice), it’ll set you back a bit… but figure you’re not spending $15 each haircut, so you make that back pretty quickly.

Used by top celebrities!

It must have ‘POWWWEARFULLLL BLADES’ … THE KIT INCLUDES A ‘RIGHT AND LEFT EAR’…!!!

I use it to trim the neck line as well and still end up having to use a razor to get all the way down to bare skin.

Are these any good for trimming beards and moustaches?
