Even though this is marketed as stainless steel the interior basket used to bake bread has some kinda of non stick coating??… those are usually toxic. A quick google search reveals this is a QVC brand, it received 66 one star reviews. Directions say do not leave machine unattended?! I’m suppose to watch it bake bread for 4 hours?
I would recommend not buying this
My house has one of these. It’s not awful. We use it more often just to mix dough as the loaves are squat cubes. What do you expect from a $30 bread maker, tho.
I figure a $30 (on QVC it was $44) to be average at best. Heres a few minutes long QVC video about it.

I am tempted to buy this for my daughter. She is GF and those breads she has to buy are so expensive. Of course the GF flour is pricey as well. I wonder if she could save a little by making her own bread.
My wife is medically tested [Mayo] to not tolerate gluten.
I’d suggest a 2 or 3 pound maker. Most GF breads don’t rise much, so at 1.5 you don’t end up with a lot. Also 4 hours is about 1 hour longer than most models.
We bought a Vevor when it was $73. The price has jumped, but it has settings to make yogurt, slow cook, etc.
You will not save a lot of money, but you will save some on factory GF bread.
If you’re baking GF bread, do not buy a machine without a GF setting. The setting may not be perfect but it’s easier to customize. The best machine is Zojirushi Home Bakery Virtuoso Plus and Target has the best price. You won’t save much baking your own but the bread is much better.
Thank you both for the replies. It is appreciated.
I bought one and am trying it for the first time. I want to make dough, and the manual says to use the Dough setting. However, I do not see a dough setting. The Knead setting doesn’t really knead it, just slow mixes the ingredients for 8 minutes. Has anyone tried to make just dough (mixed, kneaded, risen) in it? How?
Hi there. Found the instructions and yep, it sure does say the Dough function.
My guess is that it’s the Knead button.
If you’re unhappy with it, you can return it until 1/30/2025. Just reach out to customer service via the support form
Thanks. I tried the knead button and it is worthless. Eight minutes of mixing the ingredients does not make dough. I ran the mix through the knead cycle three times and it never actually kneaded it, just slow mixed it.
I no longer have the original packaging. : ( Does this stop the return process?
It doesn’t help it, that’s for sure. ![]()
