Is this Cooler Master model hot swapable or are the switches welded to the board?
I purchased this keyboard on a previous Woot. For $35 it’s a bargain. Very nice keyboard and wrist pad.

Hello! This model is not hot-swappable.
the switches pop right out. In fact a tight fitting key cap will pull the switch out with it.
This is a nice keyboard for the price. The brown switch feels more linear to me but the rgb brightness is great and the knob is handy.
I purchased this item and used it for about 1 hour. The user manual recommended to update the firmware using Masterplus+ software, which could be downloaded from the manufacturer’s website. Upon updating the firmware, the keyboard is now completely useless. It will not turn on, will not take a charge, no lights are present, and none of the keys are functioning. Now it is in the garbage. Do not update the firmware, as the manual suggests, if you make the poor decision to buy this product as I did.
Well drat. That’s no good. Did you try redoing the update maybe?
You do have
Warranty: 1 Year Cooler Master Warranty
You might reach out to them.
I tried multiple times, but the keyboard is not responsive to even begin the update now. When plugged directly into the computer with the USB-C cable provided, the Windows “chime” sound plays, indicating a device has been connected, but the Masterplus+ software doesn’t recognize it, and instructs me to plug the device in using the USB-C cable, which has already been done. It won’t work in any mode. It is if the device is bricked. There are no lights indicating it is turned on, or connected at all. Going through a warranty process is always a big hassle, but maybe I’ll consider doing it when I’m feeling less discouraged than I am right now. I wish I had just left it alone, and continued using it as it was right out of the box. Thanks for your reply.
It’s annoying most of my USB-C wires cannot be fit in the slot due to the design. It has to be the one that comes in the box…
