Cooper Cooler Rapid Beverage Chiller

I’m on my second one, now, after about 5 years of service from the first one. We used it a lot and it’s very good at quickly chilling a beer or white wine to service temperature. 1 and 2 liter soda bottles do not fit, as won’t Champagne bottles and some wide-hipped red wine bottles (if you get a bottle that’s room temp or, worse, car trunk temp, you might find yourself wanting to put it in the Cooper) although you can sometimes squeeze it in and skip using the spin feature.

I found the ‘Can’, ‘Bottle’ and ‘Wine’ settings do a pretty fair job getting a 12oz. can, 12oz. bottle and 750ml bottles to a nice temperature very quickly. It also automatically adjusts the time if the “No-Spin” setting is selected. There’s also an “Extra” time setting if you want to give something even more time under ice.

We found it super convenient to be able to chill a single beer stored in the pantry rather than keeping them all in the fridge.

I am sooo tempted to buy this but I am pretty good at keeping my beer in the fridge and if I did not have cold beer, the liquor store is a miniute walk from my house… Plus I have speant over $75 so far this woot off and plan on purchasing other things that i want if they appear… decisions decisions…

This may be an odd question - does this ruin the bottle (the label) by ripping it or getting it moist?

if I have to get up to get some ice then whats the point of this thing? drink + ice = cold drink…

geeze…when you try to contribute to my lazy, unprepared thirsty self, at least attempt to reduce the workload…

This would be handy to provide you with cold beverages to assist you in making your next decisions.

This is nothing more than a motor that rotates your bottle, swirling the liquid around so that the temperature is circulated from the outer surface (where the bottle is warmed or cooled) to the inside. You can do the same thing by putting your bottle in ice water and then swirling the bottle around a few times.

The reason it’s faster than a fridge or freezer is because those appliances have to cool the air before reaching your bottle. But if you place the bottle in ice water, the air is eliminated and it’ll cool the bottle directly. Then simply swirl.

Drink + ice = watered down drink. I’d rather have one of these for when you get home from the grocery and you just want that ice cold coke!

I’m in for 1…im quite lazy and forget to put beer in the fridge

An easy way to prevent ice from watering down your drink is to place the ice in a sandwich or ziploc bag and then put the bag in your drink. Or use resusable plastic ice cubes.

\DAMN I JUST LOST ANOTHER BAG O CR AP!!!

Sure, it’s a bit more expensive than ice water in a tub…

Who wants to put a ziplock bag of ice in their drink…that would take up most of the space…it would take almost as long to fill up the ziplock bag with ice then put it in this machine

Or for someone who deliberately didn’t chill a drink because there were planning on going booze-less…and then changed their mind :-))
