Good deal. These are always $650 at Lowe’s and hover around $500-600 mark on Amazon.
A number of years ago we had an ice storm that took out power for about 5 days. On day 2 I happened to be lucky enough to walk into a big box hardware store right when they dropped a pallet of generators so I bought one. I fire it up at least every 6 months just to keep it maintained but in the rare occasion we lose power it’s there and ready to go. They’ve come a long way since then but with proper maintenance these things can be lifesavers!
Its a good deal but not a great deal. good for an RV with i unit of air conditioning or a small cabin. The name “craftsmen” should not be confused with the original brand. Someone from China bought the rights to the name.
While Craftsman branded tools may be made in China, the Craftsman brand is owned by Stanley Black & Decker. They own DeWalt too.
There are only like 4 actual companies left in the world.
More than four, but still not many.
I was being a bit glib. ![]()
Why is the 2500W $30 less then the 2200W?
More stock to dump is my guess. I see a lot of China products taking a dump in prices. I watch various welders and related and wonder if they are liquidating product seeing a possible embargo or trade sanctions.
My local fleamarket has been flooded with Ryobi 2300 gensets and can be had in the box for $350 with bluetooth and remote electric start. Would be a great option
Engine is Generac. This is a great inverter generator and pretty quite. Use it for tailgating.
Newer model maybe??
The 2500 is a series quite a few years old now, not saying these were made back then tho
Voltage spec stated at Woot is 240VAC 1ph for this unit?
Maybe cause it’s heavier?
