The Amazon reviews are a mixed bag, but the reviews on the Craftsman site? Yikes!
Edit - So looking at the Craftsman site, the same model appears to have two different engines. The “red top” version is clearly marked as a Briggs & Stratton engine. The “black top” version (which is the only one shown on this sale) only says “Craftsman” and I have not been able to find who makes that engine (see below). I’d be curious to learn which engine related complaints refer to the black top vs red top.
I have a 4 year old craftsman that works fine. B&S engine. Also to note about this mower: it is not self propelled, which is nice to have.

This version uses a “Powermore” engine which is the “in-house” brand for MTD, which in turn are made by “a major Asian manufacturing company”. The mower itself is made by MTD under license of Craftsman.

@lioncow since this will get gasoline put into it, shouldn’t it have the big orange “cannot be returned to Woot” disclaimer like the generators do?
I have an MTD lawn mower from Costco that’s over 20 years old. Purrs like a kitten.
Usually but since it has a 90-day woot warranty, there’s no manufacturer to contact.
