Cuisinart Automatic Bread Maker

[QUOTE=manhandsha, post:20, topic:453871]
Sorry to hear about your experience. It’s never an intentional thing when a customer receives a defective or damaged item. These have a 90 day Cuisinart warranty. I’d suggest reaching out to them first.

If you need further assistance, please email support@woot.com with your order details and issue; CS can check into your available options.

Yeah, I did that within 10 minutes of opening the box. My options…as another already warned people about on here…

PAY THEM $10 to ship a replacement. Then pay 25-35 bucks to ship this back.

So, yeah, 99 bucks I could have bought a new one. Woot, this one has really soured me. I gotta tell ya.

I’m hoping others read these comments and take them VERY SERIOUS for the next time you guys offer up this particular piece of crap. Seriously… its a refurb, who wouldn’t have plugged it in to see if it works BEFORE SHIPPING IT?

I’m less likely to order refurb stuff from you guys in the future I gotta tell you.

If you email into us, hopefully we have some better options to offer you than you’ve gotten from the vendor since it arrived not working.

I sure hope so - keep us posted. I think we all want to know how this turns out.

Since so many people seem to have this item, I’m gonna toss out a little problem I have.

I can’t seem to get the basket to lock into place. Lefty loosey righty tighty correct?

I will sit in the little ‘docking ring’ for lack of a better term, but it seems like something is hanging and it won’t twist to the right to lock into place and after some fiddling usually just ‘rides’ up the ring.

If that description is any good.

Any suggestions?

one more for receiving the HHH error. what a piece of crap.

Yup, I’m having the same problem. I guess this was a bad deal. They couldn’t even test them when refurbishing them… And $10 to get Cuisinart to ship another refurb, probably with the same problems, maybe even the HHH error… Can’t exactly bake bread if you can’t put the pan in.

Sorry to hear that a few of you are experiencing issues with your purchase.

If you haven’t already, please email into support@woot.com and let them know what you’re experiencing. They’ll be happy to help answer any questions or concerns you have about your order.

Shot off an email a minute ago. Not sure what woot support can do with physical/electronic problems but more than glad to run it by them.

Email included this line, that I’m especially proud of:

I was missing a paddle to mix the dough. Now I’m going to plug it in to make sure it wasn’t DOA also. What a disappointment, and this was my first woot! :frowning:

Came back to check on the reviews - bought this item for my wife for her birthday.

Glad to report - so far, so good! She made one excellent loaf of bread as soon as she opened it (without any previous practice), and so far everything has worked great!

Crossing my fingers… apparently not all of them were bad units!

Sent Woot customer service email, I received a defective bread maker!

Cuisinart Automatic Bread Maker doesn’t work, when I plug in the machine it beeps 2 or 3 times and shows “EEE” on the display! I tried plugged/unplugged several times, and pushing on the buttons nothing works just shows “EEE” on the display.

I contacted Cuisinart at 1-800-726-0190 and spoke with a woman name Christen and told her the error code. She asked where did i purchase the unit, I told her woot.com. She told me to contact woot.com and tell them to send me another unit because the one they sent me was defective!

Lovely. Growl. I’m very sorry.

As a followup for the missing mixer, Woot said they would either give us a $5 credit for a $10 part plus $5 shipping or we could send it back. I wish I would have just bought a new one instead of saving $10 after all this. I’m now at 2 weeks and haven’t been able to make a single loaf yet.

The pan doesn’t seem to want to fit into the machine when trying to get it to lock into place no matter how hard I try. So far, this is a piece of garbage. Last refurb thing I buy from woot.

I have to say the one I got is just perfect. I am making two loaves of the Italian Rustic every week. My family is thrilled. So not all of these breadmakers came out wrong.

So this thing has worked perfectly since I bought it. Love it so much and have made at least a loaf a week. But yesterday, I opened it to take a loaf out and the hinge on the lid broke. :frowning:

I am so sad. I’ve contacted Cuisinart but from what others have said it will not be cost effective to return this large machine back to them to get a replacement.

I just made my 7th or 8th loaf in it since receiving mine on 6/23/15. Today when I went to take the paddle out of the dough before the bake cycle I noticed grey/black grease spots throughout the dough. So much for my bread at dinner tonight. I’ll be calling Cuisinart customer service tomorrow, but I don’t have a lot of hope. :frowning:
