I bought one of these here 5 years ago. Since then I’ve made about 1 loaf a week. This is a real good bread machine. My favorite thing about it is that it will beep 6 times before the last rise to notify you that the paddle can be removed which prevents the big hole in the loaf and makes it easier to remove from the pan.

Bought this the last time. Make sure it’s the 6 beeps!! It beeps 5 times before it beeps 6 beeps (about an hr before). 5 beeps is a notification to add later ingredients on certain breads and since the mixer is still moving it is very difficult/dangerous to remove the bread pan and put it back in while the insides are moving. This is something I learned the first time using it by NOT paying attention to 5 vs 6 beeps.
I bought one of these back in March, mostly as a backup to an older Breadman Plus thrift shop wonder. I’ve only used it a couple times for one or two favorite recipes that work well in the Breadman, and it does OK, but I’ll need to tweak the proportions a little to make them come out the same as the older breadmaker.
I’ve also made up doughballs for pizza in it, and this Cuisinart does a fine job with that.
Bought one here years ago…love it. I’m too lazy to take it out after 6 beeps to remove the paddle. The loaf comes out easily once it is completely cooked and I don’t mind having a paddle hole in the bottom of my loaf. No idea how I used to survive without this thing. If you’re on the fence, buy it. You won’t regret it!
Really love this bread maker! Got it for Christmas and it’s been a champ! It has a beeping system to alert you to add mixin’s (raisins, dried fruit, nuts, etc), remove the paddle, and when it’s done. Couldn’t be happier! The delay timer is also another great feature. You can add all the ingredients before going to bed, delay it X number of hours so you have hot bread as soon as you wake up.
I have an older version of this machine, and it has pretty much the same features, except 16 different program options, not 12. It has been solid for us, and given 8 years of faithful service. Our favorite use is the dough cycle for pizza, which we then bake in the oven on pizza stones we bought here at Woot.
I’m on the fence with this. Has anyone tried making pasta with it? I got a new pasta roller last Christmas and haven’t used it yet because I’m too lazy to make the dough. Will this do it for me?
Also, how big is a 2 lb. loaf? Is it the the stubby little square thing or does it make a longer, well loaf-shaped loaf?
Bought one of these last time around. It had a “EEE” error code when plugged in, and didn’t work at all. Warranty service through Cuisinart required paying for shipping both ways, so I ended up spending $85 on a refurbished bread maker as opposed to $100 at Costco for a new one (with better customer service than Cuisinart). As usual, caveat emptor.
I’ve had this for more than a year and I’ve used it about 3 times. The features all work great but it is nearly impossible to get the bowl out of the unit. It’s held in by a magnet that could probably lift a 747. Waaaaaay too strong. Neither I nor my husband can get it out without injuring our hands…hence the 3 times.
“What do the best resteraunts offer? That’s right! Free bread!”
Are resteraunts female family members who get you to nap? If they bring free bread I’d take more naps. As for eateries, I’d try the bread at a restaurant.
Thanks for the reviews, you’ve got me thinking about buying one.
WOOT! I open this package and you knew darn well you were selling DUDS. This really ticks me off. I went to the store to get ingredients and open the box to find HHH error.
I’m pretty sure if ANYONE had bothered to plug this in during their “refurbishment” they would have found this error.

Now What?
