I have owned quite a few Cuisinart products and they all have one thing in common: they all failed. And almost all failed within the warranty period and were replaced with new products that also failed.

Conair, Cuisinart’s parent company insists that before they replace a product, you submit a photo of the failed product with the cord cut off. This seems wasteful to me.

Recently, the replacement 4-slice toaster, for the one I ordered from Amazon, and similar to this one, failed out of the box. The right side did not lock down.

I requested a label so I could send the toaster back to be refurbished. They refused and asked me to cut the cord on a brand new toaster before they would replace it.

I refused and donated the toaster to Goodwill who will try to make what is probably a simple repair.

I will never purchase another Cuisinart product.
