We bought one of these from Woot this past September to replace an older Cuisinart air fryer that was the same boxy style but was much smaller and had a lot less features. This is an excellent unit, especially for this price and I would certainly get it again, but here are two notes worth paying attention to:
- This air fryer is a lot more powerful than our older one and runs hotter than set. I recommend setting it at 25-50 degrees less than what the recipe or instructions call for and check your food at the minimum time.
- The controls are fiddly and the digital panel has a lot of very small print. It can be tricky to find the setting or option you want, and there are settings within many of the settings. For example, to toast bread there is Toast, Shade (1-10) and Number of Slices 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6 or such). On the positive side, it gives excellent and repeatable results.
One thing I really like is this unit doesn’t exhaust a lot of hot air out into our kitchen. Our old air fryer blew a lot of hot air out and heated up the kitchen and the surrounding cabinets, but this unit seems to keep a lot more heat inside (which could be another reason why it runs hotter).
Plus the interior light and removeable crumb tray for easy cleaning are also nice features to have. Overall, I would buy this one again if I were looking for one.
Jon651 Thank you so much for your comment. It helps people who may be on the fence for an item.
I recommend registering your air fryer as soon as you get it. (Register seller as Amazon)
I have this model but i had issues with quality with similar models from Cuisinart until they finally sent me this model (3rd unit for replacement)
I love the air fryer.
