CyberPower 1000VA/600W PC Battery Backup

CyberPower 1000VA/600W PC Battery Backup

It is my understanding I can hold the Silence Alarm button on this one to permanently prevent beeps when the lights flicker.

I didn’t see that as an option on any of these cheaper ones in this event.

My current APC one will beep loudly when there is a slight flicker in power. No way to disable the beep. Dog hates it. We had a storm the other day and it gave the dog anxiety (physically shaking) with all beeping.

Our utility company had a glitch that caused the power in our rural area to surge on and off all day and night for 6 weeks. I had 3 APC units that drove us all insane and were actually helpful for the power company because I could document exactly when the surges were occurring. It eventually fried all the units. Now I’m considering switching to the Cyberpower units which sound like a better option with the glitch power in my area.

Got it hooked up. Showing estimated 80-90 minute battery runtime for networking equipment and voip phone. I may plug a desktop PC into the open battery backup port, but I didn’t feel like moving the desk to get to the existing surge protector.

As long as that mute icon stays on, I’ll be happy.

Balls. Just got off chat with CyberPower. Sounds like I’ll be sending this back to them for a replacement. I’ve had two instances where the power is gone out and each time the device entered overload mode rather than switching to battery power. Battery is fully charged and there’s hardly any load plugged in, so something is faulty.
Also, the mute feature apparently doesn’t apply to overload state… beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

CyberPower shipped me an upgraded 1500VA/1000W model as a replacement! Will test it tonight.
