If you happen to be doing keto/low carb eating, these work really well to make “chaffles” (cheese+egg waffles) that end up a great size to use as replacement bread/buns for sandwiches and burgers. For me the discovery was amazing because I really missed sandwiches and eating burgers more in the traditional ways lol. There are thousands of chaffles recipes, from “breadlike” to delicious dessert ideas, be all low carb.
So wait…is one side a pattern and the other waffled? Because a couple of the pictures show a waffle pattern in the machine with the skull or pumpkin on the waffle.
The pics show the typical waffle pattern on one side of the machine and the skull on the other side. Yet the finished product looks like there’s no waffle pattern. Are the cooking plates interchangeable?

The plates are not interchangeable as they’re not removable. You’ll get a waffle pattern on one side and a skull or pumpkin on the other side.
Waffles are delicious.
Something to consider: these do have “xylan,” which STILL contains PTFE, if you are looking for PFOA free products (or items without Teflon).
There is no reason to put your family bird(s) in danger.
Edit: Also, the photo manipulation on the waffle/chaffle makers are misleading. The end-product of both the pumpkins and skulls WILL have traditional waffle-baffles. The waffles will NOT have the same pattern on the top and bottom.
(Sorry, made mistakes as to how the end-product comes out. I was distracted by waffles.)

As has been said by others, if they had made a two pack that was one of each, I’d have been in on this deal immediately. Would not care if one side of “waffle” has traditional waffle pattern or of it is actually more of a shaped pancake maker. But I do not have space for two identical makers, nor the I clination to buy 4 in order to get 2. Whomever thought up this deal needs to go back to “Marketing 101” classes …
I guess the 2 of the same kind would be so you can get them cooked faster?

They cook pretty fast. I’m not even sure why you’d need two. Keep one and give one to someone? I love the one I’ve got.

Like: Star, Heart, Bunny, Snowflake and a Waffle Bowl Maker.
But at full price and not Woot! prices.
You don’t put family birds in waffle makers. That’s what George Forman Grills are for.
