I’m wondering if this is a cheap alternative to those $300 KitchenAid mixers I always see on sale.
And I wonder if the Cubs will ever win another World Series.![]()

It can’t do everything a more powerful stand mixer can do like knead dough, but for mixing up a batch of cookies, making a cake, or making your own whipped cream–basically anything you can do with a hand mixer, this can probably handle without the gears stripping or the motor overheating.
It doesn’t have a power takeoff (PTO), so no add on grinder/juicer/pasta/slicer attachments. Probably not important for most people.
The reviews are decent - might get one for my Mom since buying her kitchen gadgets for Christmas is a tradition.

apparently you can only use this for three minutes at a time so that knocks out anything i’d use it for. perhaps it’s good for someone who has an injury or disability that would make using a hand mixer difficult but otherwise i can’t see the point.
if you like it but prefer baby blue or peach, those colors are available on amazon for $40 rn with prime.
When checking reviews from mother ship I always sort by
most recent as you tend. To get the more honest reviews… and they are not good …
This is not a cheap alternative to a $300 KitchenAide stand mixer; it’s an expensive alternative to a $2 wooden spoon and a bowl. You get what you pay for and there’s a reason why this thing only weighs 5 lbs - it’s mostly plastic. Honestly, this thing is a child’s toy or perhaps something an interior decorator would put up on a kitchen shelf to make it look like they own a real mixer, but nothing more. If you really want a stand mixer, take your time and search for factory reconditioned KitchenAide’s online - occasionally you will luck into them for less than $200 if you aren’t picky about color. Plus they will last long enough to pass down to your kids and parts are always available. If anything breaks on the unit sold here today then the only place it is going is into the trash.
Sorry to be so blunt, but a countertop mixer is a genuinely serious kitchen tool and I would hate to see anyone waste their money on this mixer.
They will now that the Tribune Co isn’t the owners. Wrigley Field sold tickets and the Tribune Co. only cared about making a profit not about investing enough into the team to win like the Ricketts family did after only a couple of years as owners
What color did you buy her
Agreed. 350W motor is about half of that of the KitchenAid if I remember correctly, so I wouldn’t expect this one to be very durable
I got her the red one. We’re talking about someone that it is almost to impossible to buy for, but she likes to make small batch cookies and pumpkin breads with the grand-daughters. So hopefully for that purpose this thing will be OK. If not… oh well.
Oooh pumpkin bread. Thanks for reminding me that exists.
And it is coming soon … and apple cider donuts
Cute!! I am available for any baking testing needs she may have
